BRIEF 1: WORTH 40% 
DESIGN THE VISUAL IDENTITY FOR YOUR GRADUATE EXHIBITION TO BE HELD AT MANTRA RESORT OPENING ON THURSDAY NOVEMBER 27, 2008

  • Identify the requirements of promoting the event paying particular attention to continuity to particular elements that identify the exhibition,
  • Develop an image for the event that conveys the group's house style
  • Test consumer acceptance of the proposal for a) suitability b) consumer acceptance of the corporate identification
  • Develop a promotional strategy and recommend use of particular media to best promote the event
  • Design and develop logo, invitation etc
  • Prepare a justification or defence for the decisions for taking a particular approach to branding of the event
  • Identify and agree requirements of the brief
  • Develop a scope of works including timeline, budget, audience/ consumer, applications, promotional media etc
  • Develop promotional strategy for a product that pays particular attention to continuity of particular elements, symbols, colour associations or logo types that identify the group event1

    Brainstorm name and commence thumbnails produce 5 thumbnails of Freerange and 5 thumbnails of Human Soup. class to vote on name next week

    WEEK 3 06/08/08

    Class votes on exhibition name. Continue to thumbnail with selected name

    WEEKK 4 13/08/08

    Show thumbnails to teacher for feedback

    WEEK 5 20/08/08

    Continue to refine and develop thumbnails logo and application eg

    WEEK 6 27/08/08

    class meeting. students to present all thumbnails and advise on students best thumbnail/s to develop to final. students to provide at least two images for invite to be placed in a public folder. students to decide on format and copy of invite

    WEEK 7 03/09/08

    continue to refine final/s

    WEEK 8 10/09/08

    present finals and class to select the most suitable.
